Active Adult Community

The centerpiece of River Walk is 55+ community built around an “age-in-place” concept. Most homes will be single family with a mix of Craftsman, American Traditional, Italianate, and Spanish Colonial styles and suitable for the active adult lifestyle. Other housing options would include townhomes, senior apartments, and assisted living options.

A clubhouse service the active adult community will offer a wide range of recreation and social activities.

 

Circulation for the active adult community will focus on walking, biking and NEV trips rather than car trips.

Community Center

Two primary community areas, one primarily serving the active adult community and one serving the broader community, along with additional small shopping and retail locations, will provide ample opportunities for people to gather for socializing, shopping, and enjoying a night out.

Each village will include neighborhood parks, and a larger community park will border the central community center.

Biking and Pedestrian Trails

Extensive biking and walking trails will surround and crisscross Riverwalk, including a riparian trail along the Stanislaus River. Greenways and open space buffers will provide additional outdoor opportunities as well as giving each village a sense of community.

Stanislaus River Connectivity

Trails along a natural buffer bordering the Stanislaus River will allow the community to connect with our most important natural resource while preserving it forever a the centerpiece of our lifestyle

Housing for Riverbank’s Future

Along with the active adult villages, River Walk includes five villages with approximately 350 single family homes that are non-age restricted and will provide opportunities for community members to buy a first home or buy a larger home as their family grows. Located conveniently near River Walk’s main dining and shopping center, these villages include parks, greenspaces, and River connectivity.
